Premise
Videopoker is a game in which you need to collect one of the winning combinations. Joker Poker has a regular deck of 53 cards (a regular deck plus a Joker). The Joker can be any card in the combination.
Description of the Machine
At the top of the machine you can see the Payoff Table. A winning combination pays depending on the number of coins bet (from 1 to 5). In the center of the machine you can see the player’s cards. To the left of the cards is a bet switch (0.25, 1, or 5 per game). There are five keys right under the display, which serve to choose necessary cards with. And, finally, there are four controls at the very bottom:
Cashout – the button returns money from the machine to the player’s account.
Bet one – the button raises the bet by one coin.
Deal – the button starts a new round of game, if the previous one is finished or changes all unmarked cards if the game is on.
Bet Maximum – the button bets a maximum number of coins (5) of the chosen value.
Bets
In order to start a round of Videopoker, the player has to drop a certain number of coins into the machine. You need to click on the chosen coins and they automatically will go into the machine.
The player can bet from 1 up to 5 coins denominated 0.25, 1, or 5. Thus, the betting total cannot be less than of 0.25 and more than 25.
Play
When bets are made, the player presses Deal and a primary five-card combination will open. Having looked at the cards, the player makes a decision which cards to keep and which ones to change in order to gain a winning combination. In order to leave a card, you need to press Hold under the card. If the player changes his mind, he should press Hold once again and the previous action will be cancelled.
Once the necessary cards are chosen, the player presses Deal and gets new cards instead of the discarded ones.
Note: The player can change cards only once per game. If a winning combination is dealt in the first dealing, the machine will prompt the player to keep these cards for him. If the player does not want to keep these cards, he can simply press a button under the marked card or click on the card and the action will be cancelled.
If the player has a winning hand, then either he can take payout at once by pressing the button under Collect, which will appear on the machine or he can continue the game. For this you need to press the button under Double, which will appear on the machine display. After that the player gets five cards, one of which is dealt face-up, the rest - face-down. He should guess a card out of the four that is higher than the open one by pressing the button under the chosen card. If the player guesses correctly, his winnings will double. If he guesses wrong, he will lose all winnings. If both cards are of the same value, then the player gets his initial winnings. When being doubled, the lowest card is a two, the highest card is an Ace. Suits do not matter. Joker is higher than any cards, including aces.
